A modern-based Islamic boarding school has a motto in the formation and
development of an educational character for students or knowledge claimants.
The Modern Pondok Motto includes; High Virtue, Healthy Body, Knowledgeable and
Free Minded.
These points are expected to support as a solid pillar in the formation of
education and culture of students when taking part in the community later.
The motto of the Modern English Cottage
1. Noble Character
Noble Character is the main foundation in the motto of the Modern cottage
which is expected to support all aspects from the lowest to the highest. This
point though applies to the elements of the cottage itself.
2. Healthy Body
Common sense resides in a healthy body, so the saying goes. A healthy body is
very supportive for the students in participating in every activity and
activity at the lodge. Apart from maintaining a healthy diet and life,
exercise is the main support of this cottage's motto.
3. Knowledgeable
The system in the cottage teaches students to think broadly and without
limits. Where knowledgeable, this must be based on the motto of the first
lodge, namely noble character. So that the students understand what they are
learning for and what this knowledge is used for.
4. Freedom of Thinking
Free thinking here does not mean the students can think freely (liberal).
However, freedom here cannot eliminate the main principles of identity as a
Muslim. Maturity and maturity in thinking later after completing education.
Conclusion
Those are the 4 pillars of the motto of modern Islamic boarding schools in
general. These pillars are expected to support the formation and education of
